|The 2017 “Patients First” Luncheon will be held on Friday, September 15, beginning at 12:00 noon at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. As we begin our 50th year as a FQHC and celebrate “The Jordan Journey”, we are honored to have Dr. Rick Kittles will join us as the keynote speaker.
Dr. Kittles is an alumnus of the Rochester Institute of Technology, and co-founder of African Ancestry, the largest African lineage DNA database. As the Director of the Division of Population Genetics at the University of Arizona, Dr. Kittles’ research interests include assessing prostate cancer risks, and the role of genes and environment. His work has been used to trace the ancestry of celebrities on the PBS mini-series, Finding Your Roots with Dr. Henry Louis Gates.
The annual “Patients First” Luncheon hosted by the Jordan Health Foundation highlights the critical work of our amazing team of clinicians, care coordinators, and front-line staff who help to diminish the impact of poverty and create healthier communities by improving the health outcomes of the people who live in the Rochester region. Wellness is a team effort and we invite you to join us in this celebration.
